Off The Beaten Path: Wolfgang Van Halen by Matt Hatfield
I'm an incredibly lucky man because right now my finger seems to beat right on the pulse of real country music. This whole scene of upcoming artists that is gonna blow everyone away. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Kentucky and West Virginia have more talented artists playing and recording on their own right now than Nashville's famous Music Row has had in the last decade combined. High on the list of my personal favorite artists is Kentucky singer-songwriter, Lance Rogers.
Loretta Lynn.. Pasty Cline.. Dolly Parton.., those names instantly bring to mind unforgettable songs and incredible voices that have stood the test of time. Make no mistake about it when I say that one day soon that list will include another name: Morgan Wade.
Every now and then, if you're lucky, you will come across a songwriter who is so heartfelt in their approach that it stops you dead in your tracks. West Virginia's, Walter Debarr is without a doubt that type of songwriter and artist.
